KEZA - Socialpreneurship & Ecommerce- The Best of Both Worlds
Ecommerce intrigues me. It's long been a fascination for me since I first started to see first-hand what ingenuitive and resourceful people were doing to seize upon the opportunities the internet provides and build a business. What intrigues me even more are great business ideas. I've seen and been part of some really amazing ecommerce businesses. I've seen large businesses like Kevin's Catalog based out of Thomasville, Georgia to smaller ones like Table Tops Etc. and numerous businesses in between. The good news is that now I have the opportunity to follow my passions in both of those by launching a new site that brings together the best of both ecommerce and what's becoming known "socialpreneurship".
I first learned about Keza while listening to the 48 Days podcast by Dan Miller. His son, Jared, started a company “with the goal of developing businesses for women aspiring to break out of poverty and donor dependency. Decades of donor dependency and substandard expectations have crippled Africa and we were determined to play a part in breaking that cycle.” As I listened I couldn't get over how incredible the whole idea was and I was intrigued with the thoughts as to how successful Jared and Keza would be in their efforts. I never doubted for a minute that the idea would be a resounding success. Little did I know at the time that in the future as fate would have it our paths would cross and I would get the opportunity to be involved with Keza.
I'm going to be channeling my ecommerce and business passion into launching a new website that will offer Keza products for sale. Right now I'm working on getting our store concept together, creating our logo, and getting the products added to the site. We're incredibly excited to be able to work with Jared and Keza. Paige and I will still be handling our regular responsibilities with our jobs and other projects, but we're really excited to be able to add this one to the list. As I mentioned to Jared when we first started discussing this idea, everything about their business is right and just rings true. It represents all that is right about business and why we do business to begin with. We're looking forward to seeing our store be a success and looking forward to seeing Jared and Keza become WILDLY successful!
